The IT Security Team will be enabling Microsoft Teams notifications when a new device is enrolled to an Okta account beginning Dec. 17, 2025. You will be notified with the device type, IP Address, and general Geo-Location. You also will be instructed to select one of the following actions:
- This Was Me. Confirms you performed this action and no additional action is required.
- Report Suspicious. The Security Team will be notified that you reported this action as suspicious. We can begin investigating this report to determine if it’s malicious.
A few considerations:
- Links in the Microsoft Teams notifications are only valid for 24 hours.
- You will also receive a separate email notification from Okta when a new device is enrolled. You can take action through either notification channel.
- Notifications may be delayed up to 5-6 minutes.
