The Collaboration Subcommittee of the Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) is excited to bring back the Extra Life Gaming Marathon on Friday, November 6 to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Extra Life has raised $140M+ since 2008 to help children and families receive critical care. Last year marked eMoney’s first year participating, and we raised more than $13,000.>> See the fun from last year!

This year, we’re building on that momentum with an ambitous goal of $15,000!

Why Join?

Have fun and make an impact
Every dollar you raise supports your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital – helping kids and families get the care they need.
Play games on the clock
Yep, it counts. Your participation qualifies for Volunteer Time Off (VTO).
Earn EEC points while you play
• 20 for VTO
• 20 for a personal donation
• 10 for participation event
The more points you earn, the better your chances are of winning the $1,000 year-end grand prize! Learn more about the EEC Points Program.
Connect while you play
Team up with coworkers, invite friends or family, or just take time to rediscover a game you haven’t played in a while or maybe even learn a new one!
Shouts-outs, leaderboards, and top fundraiser recognition
- The top three fundraisers will receive eMpower points for their efforts:
  - Top fundraiser: 250 points
  - 2nd place: 150 points
  - 3rd place: 100 points

Who Can Participate?

Short answer: everyone.

You don’t need to be a “gamer” to join. Whether you enjoy board games, puzzles, card games, trivia, video games, or something totally different, you get to choose what participation looks like for you.

More of a supporter than a player? We love that too. You can make an impact by supporting any of our eMoney Extra Life participants – each team member is raising money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Check out the team roster and pick someone to support.

BONUS: Your donation goes further. Any donation made to eMoney’s Extra Life team is eligible for our $200 employer match (per employee, per year). Just don’t forget to save your receipt!

How it Works

Time Commitment
Join for a half day or go all in – every bit of time makes an impact.
Ways to Participate
- Join a hosted virtual game and play with fellow eMoney team members.
- Host your own game session with friends and/or family
- Play solo – your way, on your schedule
What to use
- Use your personal devices and preferred gaming systems.
- NOTE: Company laptops may only be used for approved games.
Keep it PG
We’re supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, so all shared or streamed content should be “fun for everyone.”

Standard company policies around conduct, language and harssement, and respectful behavior still apply – just with a little more fun mixed in.

Donations & Employer Match

To participate, simply raise or donate at least $50.
Personal donations are eligible for our $200 annual employer match (as long as you haven’t reached your match limit).
- Just be sure to save your receipt to upload through Workplace Giving! Instructions are below.

Ready to double your impact?

Here’s how to get your donation matched:

Download and save your receipt.
- If you’re a registered team member: Visit your individual Extra Life page under the Donations section to download your receipt.
- If you’re not registered but made a donation to an eMoney team member: A receipt should have been emailed to you after your donation was made.
  - If you need a copy of your receipt, please contact the Extra Life support team through this Contact Form.
Log in to Workplace Giving (beneifts-eligible employees).
Search for Children’s Miracle Network (EIN: 87-0387205).
Click the “Record Activity” tab on the green sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen.
Choose the “Request a Match” option to record a donation made outside of the Workplace Giving system.
Enter the date of the donation and the amount.
In the “Message to Administrator” field, please put Extra Life Team eMoney to ensure the company match is added to our team fundraising goal!
Attach (upload) your receipt (Files accepted: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf – up to 3MB)
- IMPORTANT NOTE: While the Workplace Giving site mentions you need to have the payment method visible – eMoney does not require this to qualify for the employer match.
Be sure to click “Submit” before leaving the page!

Ready to Play? Join the eMoney Team!

1. Fill out the Game Interest and Hosting form.

Hosting is optional but encouraged if you’re up for it!

2. Join the team

Visit eMoney’s Extra Life team page and click “Join Our Team.”
Choose participant type:
- Extra Life Classic (free; fundraising only)
- Extra Life Platinum ($19; fundraising perks like stickers, t-shirts, and more.)
Set your personal fundraising goal and select your local Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

3. Raise or donate $50

That’s all you need to officially participate.
- You may see $100 minimum on Extra Life’s site — that’s their default, but we’re keeping it at $50.

4. Customize and share

Make your fundraising page your own and share it with your friends, family, and social networks.

5. Stay connected

Join the Extra Life Teams channel for updates, event details, and resources.

6. Submit VTO request in ADP

Submit your VTO request in ADP (via Okta) for manager approval.
- Select VTO has the Time Off Policy when requesting time off.
Client Support Team Members: Please submit your VTO request to wfm@emoneyadvisor.com to participate. Once received, someone from the team will confirm the status with you.
