  • Data Contracts

eMoney requires an executed Data Externalization Agreement “DEA” between eMoney and data recipients who receive bulk eMoney data  (API, SFTP, etc) as a client accommodation.

    Objectives:

    • Ensure compliance with legal obligations and mitigate the risks associated with eMoney data redistribution.

    Types of Data Agreements:

  • DEA Processes

New Clients and Vendors That Want to Receive eMoney Data

    • Clients:  Sales sends the Data Externalization Agreement template to the client and legal negotiates terms.
    • Third Parties: Data use case is reviewed by a cross-functional team and submitted to data governance.
  • What Prompts a Data Externalization Agreement?
    • A DEA is prompted by bulk data externalization. Externalized Data is data that sent and/or received outside of eMoney’s platform via API, extract, export, or SFTP, or any delivery method.
    • A DEA is required to limit the risks associated with data redistribution and to take appropriate precautions with Users’ personally identifiable information.
    • DEA can be used in multiple scenarios and there are different versions:
      • Data Externalization Agreement Out
        • eMoney and Financial Professional – eMoney is sending bulk data through any delivery mechanism (API, SFTP, etc.) and asks the recipient to assume data risk.
        • eMoney and Integration Partner –  eMoney is receiving and/or sending bulk data through any delivery mechanism (API, SFTP, etc.) when FI paper is unavailable.
      • Data Externalization Agreement In
        • eMoney and Financial Institution – eMoney is receiving bulk data through any delivery mechanism (API, SFTP, etc.) when FI paper is unavailable.
