eMoney Raised $13K for Extra Life! 🎉

For the first time ever, eMoney participated in the Extra Life Gaming Marathon on November 7, and the results were incredible! The virtual event, organized by the EEC’s Remote Connection Subcommittee (Michelle Wright, Tom DeFelice, Alexandria Abella, Jeannie McGill, and Annette Wisniewski) met and exceeded all expectations! Below, you’ll find event highlights, our top fundraisers, feedback from participants, and photos from game day.

  • Surpassed our $10,000 goal – raising $13,000+ for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
  • eMoney matched nearly $3,000 through Workplace Giving
  • Welcomed 27 new donors to Workplace Giving
  • Ranked in the top 3% of all teams (#69 out of 2,536)!
  • Had 70 employees participate across 15 states, representing every business unit!

Funds raised will help support 20 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – providing critical care for children and families when they need it most.

We didn’t just play games – we came together to make a real difference!


  • Strong Communication & Hype: The team did a great job at keeping energy high throughout the event. Participants appreciated regular updates and the enthusiasm from organizers.
  • Community Building: Employees connected beyond their usual teams, discovering shared gaming interests. Initiatives like creating an unofficial company gaming Discord were well-received.
  • Inclusive Gaming Experience: Activities like Dungeons & Dragons introduced new experiences for some participants, fostering learning and fun in a collaborative setting.
  • Cross-Team Connections: Many noted the joy of meeting colleagues they hadn’t interacted with before, bonding over games and friendly competition.
  • Charitable Impact: Participants valued contributing to a good cause while engaging in a non-work-related, social environment.
  • Excellent Organization: Clear information and smooth logistics made participation easy and enjoyable.
