Leadership Team October 3, 2023 enovak@emoneyadvisor.com

A message from CEO Susan McKenna, on Oct. 3, 2023, to all employees.

eMoney Team,

I’m pleased to share the following leadership promotions, effective today.

  • Jason Novak, SVP, Security and IT Operations, has been named Head of Information and Security and joins the Core Leadership Team (CLT), reporting to me. In this new and expanded role, Information and Security becomes its own business unit under Jason’s leadership. He and his team are responsible for all information systems, management, and processing within the organization; and will work to maintain the safety and integrity of organizational data. In addition to leading Corp Ops, Prod Ops, and Security, Jason will oversee all Enterprise Applications, Risk, and Privacy initiatives. Jason joined eMoney in 2014 as Director of IT Security, tasked with building out the function. Over the past nine years, his efforts have propelled eMoney as an industry leader in data security, a standard we will continue to elevate moving forward.
    • With the creation of the Information and Security business unit (InfoSec), the following teams will realign to support this shift:
      • The Information Systems Technology team (formerly in the Technology BU) will report to Jason/InfoSec.
      • The Enterprise Solutions team (formerly in the Finance BU) will report to Jason/InfoSec.
      • The Enterprise PMO will remain in the Finance organization, reporting to Eric Kerble, VP, Financial Planning and Analysis.
      • The Enterprise Data and Analytics team will report to Megan Murray, COO, on an interim basis.
  • Melissa Sumner, SVP, Enterprise Architecture, has been promoted to SVP, Development and Enterprise Architecture. In this expanded role, she is responsible for leading the organization’s Development, Architecture, and Data Science strategies, ensuring delivery of our technology roadmap including both product features and the enabling technology. Since joining eMoney in January 2022, she has played a crucial role in evolving eMoney’s technology strategy to support the execution of our product roadmap and enhancing go-to-market processes. Melissa will continue reporting to Nick DiLisi, Head of Technology, with the Development, Architecture, and Data Science teams reporting to her.
  • Adam Buchanan, Director, Associate General Counsel, has been promoted to VP, Legal. Reporting to COO Megan Murray, Adam is responsible for leading all Legal functions, including the structuring and negotiation of eMoney’s transactions, intellectual property protection, and litigation matters, in addition to providing legal expertise for data privacy programs and internal policies. He will also manage relationships with outside counsel and Fidelity’s legal team. He joined eMoney in 2017 and currently serves as a member of eMoney’s Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Leadership Council. Jesse Giles, Corporate Counsel, and Amanda Matias, Supervisor, Contracts Management, will continue reporting to Adam.

Please join me in congratulating Jason, Melissa, and Adam on their promotions and wishing them continued success in their new roles.
