Employee Action Required: Annual Policy Acknowledgements

Information & Security July 10, 2023 Grayce Turnbach

As a part of our ongoing strategy for security compliance, eMoney is distributing four policies that require employees to confirm their acknowledgment no later than July 31, 2023. All employees are required to sign-off on policies upon employment and on an annual basis. The purpose of this process is to ensure that everyone has read and understood the security requirements identified by eMoney, which are aligned with customer and industry expectations and required for Service Organization Control 2 (SOC2) compliance.

A brief description of each policy is below for your reference.

  • Employee Handbook – Outlines our core values and provides a general overview of all policies, procedures, benefits, and expectations that will affect you as an employee of eMoney.
  • Privacy Policy – Outlines the legal stipulations for the protection of sensitive information and how we manage those requirements.
  • Acceptable Use of Information Assets Policy (AUP) – Outlines a set of rules to be followed by eMoney employees (users) that are utilizing items such as company-issued laptops, eMoney’s network, websites, etc. An AUP clearly states what the user is and is not allowed to do with these resources.
  • Digital Information Security & Confidentiality Policy (DISC) – Provides rules and guidelines for the overall approach to security and procedures involved with data stored digitally within eMoney’s IT infrastructure.

eMoney is audited annually for SOC2 compliance – an assessment by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for all SaaS companies in the financial services industry – and has successfully completed the obligations since 2014. For more information about SOC2, click here.
