Introducing the eMoney Volunteer Relay

With a focus on fostering team building through volunteering, both in person and remotely, the EEC Charitable Giving Subcommittee is excited to introduce the eMoney Volunteer Relay, which will be held June 1- Sept. 30. The purpose of the relay is to increase community involvement through individual or group volunteering at organizations or events that are important to eMoney employees.

How Does It Work?

From June 1 through Sept. 30, we encourage you to get involved in your local communities during work hours (using VTO) or in your free time. Through eMoney’s Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Policy, all full-time and part-time benefits eligible employees are eligible to spend sixteen hours each calendar year of VTO giving back to local communities. Examples of volunteering include:

• Food banks
• Soup kitchens
• Habitat for Humanity
• Any time spent doing something for a charitable organization

Sign Up

If you’re interested in participating in the relay as an individual or on a team, sign up using this form no later than Friday, May 26.

Teams

• Employees can participate as individuals or create a relay team with other members from their business unit.
• If you do not want to create your own team, the EEC will assign you to one.
• There is no limit to how many people can be on one team.
• Total hours volunteered will be calculated as a percentage to consider teams of different sizes.

(Team member = 7 available hours per week)

Example:

Individuals or teams must submit their total hours volunteered between June 1 and Sept. 30 by emailing EEC@emoneyadvisor.com no later than Monday, Oct. 2.

Prizes

• 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place will be calculated based on percentage of hours volunteered. Winning individuals or teams will choose a charitable organization for eMoney to donate to on their behalf.

You may have seen the eMoney bear as a staple at industry conferences and a fan favorite on our social media channels. And now you can have one of your very own! Every relay participant will receive an eMoney bear to bring with you while volunteering. We encourage you to take lots of pictures and submit them to EEC@emoneyadvisor.com. Individuals or teams with the most photos of the bear at volunteering events will win eMpower points. With your permission, the photos will be shared in life@eMoney and on eMoney’s social media channels to highlight our commitment to giving back.
