The Client Service team is excited to share that a new “Training” link is being added in the eMoney platform – which will appear in the blue navigation bar and also in the footer section. The “Training” link will allow clients to quickly access eLearning and Live Training opportunities without having to use the Help menu to search for these resources. We will be using MixPanel to track access/usage to determine if the footer link should remain or if we need the link in both areas.
The go-live date for this enhancement is March 7 and March 28 for Enterprise clients. For those in client-facing roles, a few talking points that you can reference – should you get questions regarding this new link – can be found below.
- How will we be communicating this to clients?
- Clients received a communication on Feb. 28 – previewing this as “Coming Soon.” Click here to preview the Q1 2023 Product Updates.
- Enterprise client home office reps were informed of this update on Feb. 21 and notified that this will be included in the Spring Releases – going live on March 27.
- Enterprise communications will be sent the morning of 3/27 and training updates will be included on their landing pages. See example: https://blog.emoneyadvisor.com/enterprise-product-updates-spring-2023/
- Is the Help menu going away?
- No. The Help menu will stay on the Navigation bar and will continue to provide helpful resources for users.
- What is the difference between Training and Help and why do we need two separate links?
- Help resources are designed to be quick go-to’s that users can access to complete a task.
- The Help feature provides relevant resources, or context-sensitive help, that render based on where users are in the platform.
- Training resources are designed to educate users on how to best leverage the features and functionality of the platform.
- They typically provide more context about the task and include practice activities for users to apply what they have learned.
- The Getting Started Program (GSP) is our most popular training program and is used to onboard new users. This program, along with our Intermediate series, Advanced series, and Workshops, will be available in the new Training link.
- Was there a pilot program to test how this would work?
- Yes. The pilot program launched on February 6 for the eMoney RIA office path.
- Where will the Training tab direct users?
- The Training tab will direct users to TeachMe, which is currently being used to house all eLearning and Live Training resources for the GSP, Intermediate series, Advanced series, and Workshops.
- Will this new tab take users outside of the platform?
- No. It will simply open a window on top of the platform that gives learners access to the training resources (the same way that the Help menu works today).
- Is this what Learning 2.0 is all about?
- Yes, but this is a small start to the larger rollout of 2.0. Learning 2.0 is being rolled out in stages during 2023. The addition of the Training link is an important first step in the revamp of the program, but this is not the only improvement that is included in Learning 2.0. We will be featuring several content updates in the new Training link and will continue to roll out improvements to the learner experience in the coming year. You will be notified of those exciting changes as they are ready for release.
