New Competency Framework

People Experience July 12, 2022 Grayce Turnbach

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a place where you can grow and develop as a professional, we are excited to introduce you to our new eMoney competency framework. These new competencies better align with our Strategic Pillar of People, Processes and Profitability (mind our Ps) and will positively enhance your experience as an eMoney employee.. Each competency has been designed to afford you the opportunity to gain invaluable skillsets and further contribute to your growth. You can view the new competency framework here. NOTE: The new competency framework will replace the competencies we currently use and will be what you evaluate yourself on during your year-end review in November.

As a reminder, competencies are the knowledge, skills, and abilities that clearly define the essential functions of your job to help you succeed.

  • Knowledge: What do you know or understand about specific topics relevant to your field of interest? Knowledge consists of concepts, facts, and other information related to a subject or task.
  • Skills: What proficiencies do you bring to the job that allow you to apply what you’ve learned in a workplace setting? Skills are usually performed in ways that can be measured or tested.
  • Abilities: Abilities can be defined in two ways. They can either be natural talents you bring to the workplace or address your capacity to perform specific tasks and/or apply your knowledge and skills in different ways.

To help you enhance your level of knowledge and proficiency in a specific competency, we’ve curated specific learning bundles for employees at every level across the organization. Each employee will be asked to identify one competency area to focus on for the remainder of the year and create a development plan – in collaboration with your manager – to help increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities in the chosen competency area.

Click a link below – based on your role at eMoney – to learn more about your learning bundle.

You will learn more about the new competency framework and how your professional development will align with the new competencies during a webinar on July 19 or 20 at 2 p.m. ET – which will be hosted by PX and recorded for those who are unable to attend. NOTE: An Outlook meeting invite will be sent this week to employees for one of the two webinars. The webinar invite you receive will be based on your role at the organization.

  • For those in Client Support: Please do not accept the meeting invite for this event. Please submit your request to WFM@emoneyadvisor.com and someone from the team will get back to you. This will be recorded and made available on the life@eMoney Intranet for your use.

If you have any questions, please contact PX@emoneyadvisor.com.
