• We are switching providers from IBX to Aetna at no additional cost
• All benefits-eligible employees will be required to take action during this enrollment period

This year, we’ll be switching our insurance provider from IBX to Aetna. We now have employees in more than 30 states, which led to our decision to transition to Aetna, a more nationally accepted and recognized insurance provider. This change allows us to continue to provide first-class medical benefits to our employees – no matter where they are located.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since we are switching carriers, this year requires active open enrollment – which means every benefits-eligible employee must actively elect or waive coverage in ADP.

Aetna Transition & Benefits Highlights

• Plan designs remain virtually unchanged! Aetna will still offer a high-deductible plan and their version (OAMC) of our former PPO plan with IBX. 
• There should also be very little disruption to your current in-network providers. Before making the decision to change, we completed a full network analysis that showed 98% of current IBX providers are already in the Aetna network.
• There are no cost increases with this transition.
• Teladoc will now be a part of our benefit plan with Aetna and available to employees enrolled in our benefit plan.
  • Services offered through Teladoc are expanding with the addition of mental health and dermatology services! Click here to learn more!
• Nutrition visits will be available with a medically stated reason from a provider.
• Enhanced EyeMed plans with the addition of Eye360 – whichprovides enhanced benefits when members visit a PLUS Provider (a select group of providers in the EyeMed network).
  • With the addition of Eye360 also comes a new eyeRewards program – allowing you to earn rewards by simply utilizing your vision benefits!

Enrollment Process

Since we are switching carriers, this year requires active open enrollment – which means every benefits-eligible employee must actively elect or waive coverage in ADP.

• If your benefit elections are not submitted in ADP by July 8, 2022, you will not be able to enroll in benefits or make changes to enrollments unless a life event occurs before August 2023

The virtual benefits counselor, ALEX, is being replaced by Aetna’s microsite and 24/7 concierge service – both of which are great resources to help inform your benefit election decisions.
