Meet Lauren Maxwell

Employee Spotlight October 21, 2021 Grayce Turnbach

How do you take your coffee?  As tea…

Any hidden talents? The ability to move on

What’s your favorite quote? In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks—John Muir

Favorite meal? Thai green curry

What’s your favorite place to travel? New York City

Dogs or cats? Both

What was the best piece advice you ever received? This too shall pass.

What does a day off look like for you? Usually some sort of adventure with my husband.

Have you bought anything on the eMpower shop with your points or are you saving for a big purchase? I don’t have that many, so I’m saving them for now.

Last show you binged or movie you watched? The Chair.

Favorite book or podcast? I read a lot, so my favorite book is a moving target. Best book I read recently was The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell by Robert Dugoni.

What were you doing in the year 2000, the year eMoney was founded? Getting over my disappointment that Y2K wasn’t much of a thing.

What is one thing from the year 2000/early 2000s you’re ashamed to admit you love? I just finished rewatching the entire series of Friends. Definitely took me back!

What’s your favorite song from the year 2000/early 2000s? Jimmy Eat World – The Middle.

Describe eMoney in three words. One Amazing Company.

What is your favorite thing about eMoney? The culture.

What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on while with eMoney? I’m fairly new (12/20) so I’ve really been immersed in my main role writing content, but I have enjoyed helping people get ready the 2021 Summit.

What’s your best memory at eMoney? Again, pretty new, but had a great time at the Marketing/BD team holiday get together and had fun with the game we played.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within eMoney, whose job would you want and why? I have no idea! One reason (besides a passion for engagement) I wanted to be on the EEC committee was so I could get out into the eMoney community a little more, meet people in other departments and learn more about the company and product.

Have you attended a learning and development training with PX via DIG, our learning management system? If yes, which one and what was your biggest takeaway? Yes – the content marketing team did a Clifton Strengths session. I love that kind of personality/professional profile stuff and it was great to do it as a team to see how we can all best work together.

Have you used DevelopMe, eMoney’s career development platform? If yes, what have you found most helpful? I have explored it and completed the recommended assessment for this year’s review. I have worked in marketing for a loooong time (over 30 years!!) and love the field. Even so, the assessments have shown me some areas where I could branch out.
