Balaji joins us from Walmart, where he spearheaded data strategy, analytics, AI, and digital transformation. He has a strong track record of helping global companies leverage data for innovation. His impressive career also includes leadership positions at Red Ventures, Yahoo, Verizon Media, AOL, Millennial Media, and Constellation Energy. With an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University, Balaji brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.
Under Balaji’s leadership, and in partnership with John Schmitt (VP, Information Systems Technology), eMoney remains committed to being a data-driven organization. Michelle Wright (Manager, Data and Analytic Solutions) will report to Balaji, with Derek Jackson (Senior Business Intelligence Analyst) continuing to report to Michelle. Together, they will focus on these key areas: data strategy, data governance, architecture and engineering, and value-driven data analytics.
Balaji lives in Fort Mill, S.C., with his wife, Gayatri, and their two sons, Arjun and Ajith. Outside of work, Balaji enjoys outdoor activities with his family, playing cricket and soccer, gardening, exploring new technologies, and working on home automation projects.
