Traditionally, Decision Center has enabled users to view one report at a time. With the introduction of Multi-View, users can now also create dashboard-like views containing whatever Decision Center reports they want, resize these components as desired, and save those dashboards as templates that are accessible across their books of business. For example: users can create a Roth conversion-focused dashboard (or MC-focused dashboard or general overview dashboard, etc) containing the reports necessary to analyze opportunities and assess the benefits of the conversion all within one view, eliminating the need to hop between different reports, thereby contributing to ease-of-use and scale. Today, eMoney has multiple presentation experiences and users are unable to create a presentations which co-mingles their content. As a result, users typically resort to creating their own custom presentations, manually piecing together presentations via copy/paste of our reports into their own PowerPoint docs or other means. This feature creates a “unified” experience where advisors can create a presentation containing whatever content they want no matter the tool where it originates. NOTE: The projected release date for this is October 17th. This was featured in the September release summary to bring awareness given its release will be before the next feature summary call. Feature notes coming soon!

A provision of SECURE ACT 2.0 says if a client is 50 or older and had income the prior year above $145,000, then catchup contributions need to be Roth. Our internal data suggests ~10% of qualified accounts are entered as Roth whereas external research suggests >80% of qualified accounts allow Roth contributions. This means many accounts have been incorrectly entered in our system as traditional rather than Roth and so catchup contributions won’t be modeled. This feature reorders the account type menu to put Roth accounts at the top, and makes Roth the default selection to change user behavior, steering them towards selecting Roth. We are considering additional enhancements to assist with inaccurately-entered accounts which can be read about in the following link: Read more…
