Reviewing Goal Accomplishments and Evaluating Competencies

Goal Accomplishments

Goals make up 75 percent of your overall review. During the review of your goal accomplishments, you will be required to add comments and rate your performance using the following rating scale:

  • Below Expectations– Performance failed to meet expectations in one or more essential areas of responsibility, and/or one or more of the most critical goals were not met. Immediate and sustained improvement is needed in one or more performance areas.
  • Meets Expectations– Performance consistently met expectations in all essential areas of role and responsibility, at times possibly exceeding expectations, and the quality of work overall was very good. The most critical annual goals were met.
  • Above Expectations– Performance consistently exceeded expectations in all essential areas of responsibility, and the quality of work overall was excellent and superior. Made an exceptional or unique contribution in support of unit, department, or company objectives. Successfully completed goals above the scope of role.

Competencies

Competencies make up 25 percent of your overall review. A competency is the combination of defined behaviors and measurable knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes that contribute to enhanced employee performance and development – ultimately resulting in organizational success.

Competencies are used as a baseline in your manager’s assessment of your performance at the end of the year and vary based on your role at eMoney – which break down into three levels with varying success measures/definitions. Click here to view the key success measures for each competency.
