Monte Carlo solvers enable Advisors to pick a desired probability of success and quickly identify the retirement age or retirement spending required to reach that target probability of success. This feature builds on our insights section in Decision Center to provide a Monte Carlo based solution. With straight line solver calculations (how our solvers have historically worked), the probability of success did not always reach Advisors’ confidence levels. This results in Advisors needing to manually adjust the results using trial and error until they reach their desired probability of success. Now the work is done automatically for Advisors by allowing them to select the target probability of success and solve for the required retirement age or retirement spend. This occurs only when a client is editing their Basic Info in the Organizer and Onboarding to change their relationship status from one without a spouse to one with a spouse. This feature is to remove these prefills when entering a Spouse to allow blank entry of same sex partner information or partner with different last name. Read more…

Due to a change in the partner supplying our historical data, we will be replacing some of our existing market indices this September. The new indices have been carefully selected to replicate market performance similar to the index they’re replacing. Users should not expect significant changes in essential historical data (e.g., rate of return, mean rate, standard deviation). Internal Fact Sheet: Market Index Replacement – Q3 2022.docx
