Six months ago, we reopened our offices in Providence and Radnor, and since then we have been tracking the daily number of employee visits to each office. In the last six months, we’ve averaged 3 people per day in the Providence office and 12 per day in the Radnor office – which is approximately a 90% decrease compared to 2019/early 2020. This data has been helpful as we consider our office site strategy moving forward – which you can learn more about below.
The Providence and Radnor offices will remain open. We will continue to operate under the existing policy we have in place for working on-site and monitor the number of employees visiting each office.
The San Diego office will remain closed permanently. We will not be reopening this site, as the majority of our California employees no longer live within a commutable distance to the San Diego office. Additionally, we do not currently have the staff/resources needed to maintain office functionality on a daily basis. Our San Diego location served us well over the years and we’re grateful for our time there.
Currently, eMoney operates as a remote-first employer and this will remain the case for the foreseeable future. This means that eMoney supports a workforce that is mainly remote and provides office space as an option in select locations, for employees who meet eligibility requirements and choose to work in the office. With employees in more than 30 states, this policy is more relevant than ever. It is with this in mind – in addition to the data we have collected since reopening – that we will be making the following changes to our office locations in the future.
As we continue to support a remote-first employee base with people in 30+ states, we’ll be transitioning all employees to a remote status in ADP. Employees will no longer be tied to a specific office location now that our site strategy is evolving. For more than two years, we’ve successfully worked from our homes and now your home address will also become your work address. And don’t forget, every employee receives a monthly flexible work allowance to help with the expenses of working from home. By Oct. 1, 2022, all employees will be switched to a remote status in ADP. No action is required by employees for this change to occur. However, it is important to confirm that your address in ADP is up-to-date.
