We’re making all employees aware about increased activity by a threat actor group known as ShinyHunters. They have been actively targeting organizations in the financial services industry – including customers and companies that serve similar clients to ours, which means their actions could affect organizations that are connected through shared tools or partnerships.
Even with strong security controls in place, your awareness is still one of our strongest protections.
Here’s how you can help keep us secure:
- Only approve MFA prompts you initiated.
Random push notification? Deny it and report it.
- Be cautious with emails, links, and attachments.
If a message seems unexpected – even if it appears familiar or legitimate – pause and verify before you interact with it.
- Be cautious if someone calls you claiming to be IT.
If anything feels off, hang up and contact the Security team.
- Report anything suspicious right away.
Quick reporting helps us stay ahead of these attempts – no concern is too small.
