We want to make you aware of a recent increase in encrypted phishing emails targeting our employees. These messages often appear legitimate, as they are frequently sent from compromised Microsoft accounts using Microsoft’s native encryption tools.
Because the encryption can bypass some of our email security measures—including filtering and URL rewriting—these messages may look trustworthy. Please exercise caution with any unexpected encrypted email, even if it appears to come from a known contact.
If you receive a suspicious message, do not open attachments or click any links. Instead, use the Report Phishing button to notify the Security Team immediately.
Thank you for your continued vigilance and commitment to keeping our organization secure.
