Q&A Summary
How do you envision AI impacting eMoney in the next few years? Both with our product as well as internally as employees?
- AI has the potential to enhance parts of our product and improve some of our internal processes.
- We feel strongly that AI will enhance the planning process but never replicate the human element that advisors offer.
- On the product side, we’re exploring how AI can help us deliver more intelligent, personalized, and predictive experiences for our clients – things like automating workflows, delivering insights faster, and enhancing decision-making for end users.
- Internally, AI tools – like Microsoft CoPilot – can help streamline repetitive tasks and improve access to information.
- And our AI Committee is here to make sure we’re doing all of this safely and responsibly!
- As AI continues to evolve, we’ll continue to take a thoughtful and responsible approach as we explore how it fits into our work and product.
When will the new tax laws go into place for overtime not being taxable here at eMoney for us hourly employees?
- The new tax deduction for overtime pay, which was part of the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill, goes into effect starting with the 2025 tax year. This means any eligible overtime earned from January 1, 2025, onward can be claimed when filing taxes in early 2026. We’re still waiting on official IRS guidance around how this will be reflected on your W-2s at the end of the year and will share updates/details as they become available.
