Workplace Giving Spotlight: Josh Eisen

In August 2022, Josh took on the Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb – a 7.6-mile, all-uphill race to the 6,288-foot summit of the tallest peak in the Northeast. Known for its extreme weather and steep grade, Mount Washington is considered one of the toughest bike climbs in the world, with hurricane-force winds occurring nearly 100 days a year.

The event is one of only two days each year when the Auto Road is open exclusively to cyclists and serves as the largest annual fundraiser for Tin Mountain Conservation Center. This nonprofit provides environmental education programs to children, adults, and families across northern New Hampshire and western Maine, fostering a deeper connection to the natural world.

Josh’s ride wasn’t just a personal challenge – it was also a meaningful way to support hands-on environmental education in the region.
