“In August 2022, I participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), an annual bike ride that raises money for cancer research. The event starts in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support their mission to find a cure.

I joined the ride as part of Ocean State Cancer Crushers (OSCC), a team formed by my dad, his lifelong friend Paul—who was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma just before his 50th birthday—and a group of close friends. Together, we trained and rode 100 miles to stand up to a disease that’s touched so many of our lives, including members of my own family.
