Overview

The Remote Connection Subcommittee of the Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) is teaming up for the Extra Life Gaming Marathon on Friday, November 7 to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised $140M+ for kids and families. This year, eMoney is joining the mission with a goal to raise $10,000!

Why Join?

1. Have fun and make an impact by supporting your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
   
2. Play games on the clock! Your participation qualifies for Volunteer Time Off (VTO).
   
3. Earn EEC points: 20 for VTO, 20 for a personal donation, and 10 for participation event, plus increase your chances of winning the $1,000 year-end grand prize! Learn more about the EEC Points Program.
   
4. Connect with coworkers, friends and family, rediscover a game you haven’t played in a while, or learn a new one!
   
5. Shouts-outs, leaderboards, and top fundraiser recognition!
   • The top three fundraisers will receive eMpower points for their efforts:
     • Top fundraiser: 250 points
     • 2nd place: 150 points
     • 3rd place: 100 points

Who Can Participate?

Everyone is welcome to join in and play the games you love – no gaming skills required! Whether you prefer tabletop games, board games, or video and digital games on your favorite system or device, you get to choose what you play and how you play!

Not into gaming? No problem! You can still join the fun (and the impact) by donating to any of the eMoney Extra Life participants – each one is supporting their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. View the team roster here.

And remember, any donation made to eMoney’s Extra Life team qualifies for the $200 employer match (per employee per year) so, save those receipts!

How it Works

• Time Commitment: Participate for a half or full day – every bit helps.
• Ways to Join on Game Day:
  • Join a hosted game (virtual) and play with other eMoney team members.
  • Host your own game night (or day!) with friends and family.
  • Pick your game(s) of choice and play solo.
• Gaming Systems:
  • You’ll use your personal devices and preferred systems for gaming!
  • Company laptops may only be used for approved games. Full list coming soon!

Event/Content Guidelines

Since we’re gaming for the kids, please keep any streamed or shared content appropriate for general audiences – think “Rated E for Everyone,” not “M for Mature. Company policies regarding conduct, language and harassment apply to all participants of this event. 

Donations & Employer Match

• Raise or donate at least $50 to participate.
• Personal donations are eligible for the $200 annual employer match (if you haven’t met your limit) – save your receipt to upload to Workplace Giving! Instructions are below.
• Every contribution helps, whether from you or your network!

Here’s how to get your donation matched by eMoney:

• Download and save your receipt.
  • If you’re a registered team member: Visit your individual Extra Life page under the Donations section to download your receipt.
  • If you’re not registered but made a donation to an eMoney team member: A receipt should have been emailed to you after your donation was made.
    • If you need a copy of your receipt, please contact the Extra Life support team through this Contact Form.
• Log in to Workplace Giving (beneifts-eligible employees).
• Search for Children’s Miracle Network (EIN: 87-0387205).
• Click the “Record Activity” tab on the green sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen.
• Choose the “Request a Match” option to record a donation made outside of the Workplace Giving system.
• Enter the date of the donation and the amount.
• In the “Message to Administrator” field, please put Extra Life Team eMoney to ensure the company match is added to our team fundraising goal!
• Attach (upload) your receipt (Files accepted: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf – up to 3MB)
  • Note: While the Workplace Giving site mentions you need to have the payment method visible – eMoney does not require this to qualify for the employer match.
• Be sure to click “Submit” before leaving the page!

• Note: Hosting is not required to participate but if you’re interested, let us know using the form above!

> Join the eMoney team!

• Visit eMoney’s Extra Life team page.
• Click the Join Our Team and choose participant type:
  • Extra Life Classic (no fee; fundraising only)
  • Extra Life Platinum ($19 fee; fundraising perks like stickers, t-shirts, and more.)
• Set a personal fundraising goal & choose your Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
• Raise or donate at least $50 to participate.
  • Notes:
    • Extra Life will ask for a minimum of $100, but eMoney is only requiring $50.
    • If making a personal donation, be sure to save your receipt!
• Customize your fundraising page & share with your social networks.

• Client Support Team Members: Please submit your VTO request to wfm@emoneyadvisor.com to participate. Once received, someone from the team will confirm the status with you.
