I lost a cousin to cancer when I was young, so St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been close to my heart for as long as I can remember. Their impact on pediatric cancer research and survival rates is nothing short of remarkable. Now, as both a parent and a very proud new grandparent, I’m deeply grateful for the health of my family – and I donate to St. Jude as a way to support families still navigating their fight for that same peace of mind.
Their mission says it all:
“To advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment… No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.”
“No child is denied. Period. That commitment to care for everyone – regardless of circumstance – is what resonates with me most. That’s the kind of world I want to live in.”
Over the years, I’ve participated in fundraising walks for both St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Dana Farber Children’s Hospital. I feel incredibly fortunate in life, and being able to give back – no matter how big or small the gesture – means everything.
“It’s easy to think a donation has to be significant to make a difference. But truly, every bit counts. Supporting causes like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital not only helps others – it enriches the life of the giver, too.”
