Workplace Giving Donations | Volutneer Time Off Policy & Requesting VTO

Workplace Giving

Community is a central pillar at eMoney, and we want to help support the causes that our employees are passionate about. Whether it’s the environment, hunger, education, or any other cause available in the Giving Portal, we want to make it easy for you to show your support for them and contribute some support on behalf of the eMoney family!

Now more than ever, we’d like to remind benefits-eligible employees that we have the ability to come together to help our communities and the world. Employees can search for organizations that are meaningful to them and that qualify for eMoney’s employer match program through Workplace Giving.

  • Benefits-eligible employees: you can donate via Workplace Giving.
    • If you choose to make donations through Workplace Giving, your matching gift – up to $100 per year – for eligible donations will be automatically applied.
  • Non-benefits-eligible employees: You can still make donations via an organization’s website of your choosing!

Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Policy

This language is from the Employee Handbook located on the Serivce Portal’s Policy Library.

eMoney is committed to giving back to the communities where employees live and work. Our volunteer initiatives are an integral part of our company culture, and we realize that our employees are the driving force behind charitable efforts, which is why we offer time off to volunteer.

Overview

  • All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to spend 16 hours each calendar year giving back to their local communities.
  • VTO can be used in 4 or 8-hour increments.
  • This initiative is voluntary and regardless of an employee’s role or tenure, all are welcome to participate.
  • Interested employees should meet with their managers in advance of requesting VTO, to discuss where they wish to volunteer, receive approval and schedule VTO.
  • Participating employees are not required to take Paid Time Off, instead this effort will be captured as VTO, company-sponsored paid time off in ADP.
  • VTO should not conflict with the peak work schedule and other work-related responsibilities, create need for overtime or cause conflicts with other employees’ schedules.
  • While you are using your VTO, please keep in mind that you should still be following eMoney’s non-discrimination and non-harassment guidelines.
  • If there is a question about whether a volunteer opportunity is appropriate to use your VTO for, please reach out to PX at PX@emoneyadvisor.com before submitting your request.
